How to Transfer a Call on WiFi phone
New phone tree options for 421-1200 are as follows:
• For library hours, press 1.
• To ask a librarian a question, press 2.
• For telephone renewal or questions about material you have checked out, press 3.
• If you need further assistance, please wait and our operator will assist you.
The phone out front at gRef, 1252, has a forwarding profile, “ring in back.” To keep 1252 from ringing and send calls to the left-hand phone in the workroom, 2270, on the front (public desk) phone, use the right arrow key to move to the second page of features and press the button next to “Forwarding.” Once lit, all calls will be forwarded to the workroom.
If there are enough people to have two phone answerers, you can activate the “Two in back” forwarding profile on the left-hand phone, 2270. When the left-hand phone is busy, calls will forward to the right-hand phone, 2271.
If you’re out front at gRef and you hear the phone ringing in back, you can answer the call by picking up the receiver and pressing the button next to “Call Pick Up.” You don’t have to know which extension is ringing or dial and extension; the caller will be on the line as soon as you press the “Call Pick Up” button.
If you’ve answered a call in back at 2270 and want someone out front to grab it, transferring the call to 1252 won’t do the trick (because it will just forward back to 2270!). Instead, place the call on hold. From the front gRef phone, 1252, pick up the receiver, press the button next to “Hold Pick Up,” and dial 2270 (or whichever extension you’re picking up)
